Canadian City Considers Ban on Selling Pets in Stores

Licensing commission in Windsor, Ontario recommends ban on pet sales.

Humane societies argue that it is irresponsible to sell unspayed pets in stores while hundreds of unwanted animals die in shelters. Pet store owners argue that without puppy sales, they'll go out of business. The final decision will be up to a committee, who will consult with local veterinarians before making a recommendation to the Windsor City Council. Click here for the full story...
