One woman’s talents put to the puppy mill cause
What can one person do about puppy mills from their computer at home? The answer is, whatever you’re good at! For one Best Friends member, who has asked to be identified by her Network I.D.,
southerndogmom, that means making (very moving) videos about animal welfare issues, and posting them on YouTube. She’s used her talents to create two videos that explain the commercial breeding (a.k.a. puppy mill) industry. Click the photos below to watch the videos.

Southerndogmom has done more than simply post the videos online; she’s made them available to groups and shelters around the country, and even sent copies of the video on DVD. She said, “I've sent them to the four winds (NY, PA, WI, FL, MN) and have been told that one will be used in speaking with elected officials, with groups of school children (not too young, of course) and at adoption events.”
If you need a break from a hectic work day, or just want a bright spot of inspiration, close your e-mail, turn off the ringer on your phone, and check out these videos.
What you can do:-Share the videos with friends and family. You can forward the videos right from YouTube, or send these links:

-Talk to your own elected officials about puppy mills
*If you need a copy of the video(s) for a presentation, school project, or other presentation, please contact southerndogmom via Best Friends Network mail.

**The video cannot be sold under any circumstances (because of the music). It can be presented or given away, but no money can change hands.
