Does your heart melt when you see fuzzy kittens up for adoption, but you know you just can't take one more home? Do you travel frequently, but would love to have a cat during the months that you are home? Why not try fostering!

Fostering allows you to get your feline fix without the long term commitment of adoption. The Spring kitten season is just around the corner and there will be many kittens that need a safe and loving temporary home. Fostering is a wonderful family experience, allowing you to help nurture little kittens into friendly, adoptable cats. Your time and effort will be just what these babies need in order to begin their journey to find their forever homes through the Alley Cat Guardians adoption program.

In order to prepare as best we can for the influx of kittens, Alley Cat Guardians is building a foster network. If you or someone you know might be interested in fostering kittens now or possibly in the future, consider adding your name to our Foster Network Database. No commitment is necessary - you may just like to receive updates on our foster and adoption successes. If you would like to receive future notices of cats and kittens in need of a foster home, simply send an email to AlleyCatGuardian@aol.com with your name, address and phone number. In the event that you see a cat or kitten you'd like to foster, an Alley Cat Guardian volunteer will contact you to provide more details on our foster program.

Thank you for your commitment to the homeless cats in our community. By working together, we can help end pet overpopulation and find permanent, loving homes for our feline friends.

Sincerely,

Nicole Montroy

Thank you so much for the fostering kittens link. It is wonderfully informative. I fostered a litter of 5 kittens last year for a local group and only wish that I'd had that link!!! It was a wonderful experience but it was after all my first. Things went mostly well (could not get them to poop for love nor money) and I only had them through a long weekend. Thank heaven I was reassured by the group that no harm had occured with the poop problem. Had I not stepped forward, they would have been euthanized.
It was a sleepless few days but a great experience. I'd actually love to do it again.
