Vouchers can only be purchased at a low cost vaccination/license clinic held ONLY on the 3rd Saturday of every month.
SCATE Voucher program could be a great program if the vouchers were more available for people who also want to help control the pet population... As I tried WITHOUT SUCCESS to get 2 vouchers on 11-17-07 ( 2 stray kittens) drove from Modesto to Denair thinking I could just purchase vouchers since there is no mention that you MUST bring the animals w/ you.
to be given microchip & vaccinations...GO EARLY LONG,LONG, LONG WAIT,
This is a frustrating process having to wait for ONE clinic each month and TRY to get a voucher.. It would be nice if they could be purchased through one of the participating vets or if their could be a line for SCATE voucher purchases?, or more clinics? Seriously, the Animal Services Board should take a closer look at this process OR better yet try for themselves to get a voucher. Good luck!
