When New Yorker Kathy Whyte received a Network message that Best Friends was looking for ambassadors in her area, she answered the call, completed the required paperwork, and attended the training.
Then she set about letting everyone in her local community know that she was an official Ambassdor for Best Friends and continued talking about what she already knew: that kindness to animals builds a better world for all of us.
Then her local TV station, WICZ-Fox 40, contacted her to ask for an interview. So Kathy did what all good Ambassadors would do: she called her Best Friends staff supervisor for an OK, donned her favorite Best Friends logo shirt, readied her animals, and prepared for the camera.
And she made sure that the reporter got the message that our mission is to create a time when there are No More Homeless Pets, and that all four of our campaigns were mentioned on the air. Way to go, Kathy!
