Help find Parsley the Cat

August 6, 2008 : 4:27 PM
UPDATE! After 12 days, Parsley has been found ALIVE and WELL!

By Kelli Banet, Best Friends Network Volunteer

On Thursday, July 31st, Parsley the cat waited quietly in the car while his caretaker, Tom, quickly dropped off a pair of skates to be sharpened. When his caretaker came out of Wonderland of Ice minutes later, both the car and Parsley were gone.

Parsley's owner Victor Messick, who was away at the time, is frantic with worry. Since Friday, Messick, who lives in Westchester, has been driving around Bridgeport and the surrounding areas looking for Parsley.

Parsley is a grey tabby, with a white belly, chin, and neck, and four white paws. He is about 10 years old, and friendly. He can be easily enticed with food. The stolen vehicle is a 1994 Jeep Wrangler, green with a soft top, and has Connecticut plates 414HNZ. So far, the vehicle has not been seen.

Let's hope the thieves set poor Parsley free, and help to find him and bring him home. There is a reward for his return, no questions asked.

How you can help:

Please keep your eyes open for Parsley. He could be anywhere. If you see him (or the Jeep), call:
The Bridgeport Police Department: (203) 576-7823
Victor Messick: (914) 844-9041
Tom: (203) 947-4486

Forward the article you are reading now, or this story from The Connecticut Post to your friends, veterinarians, shelters, and local animal control officials. Remember, Parsley could be anywhere!

Yes, I had the same thought about Angel. But she was being fed by the nice gentleman who was feeding Parsley, so hopefully she'll be okay.

This is a very happy ending!
I was kinda hoping Parsely's dad would have taken the "Angel Cat" home as well..or maybe that is all she was..and Angel.

This is such amazingly wonderful news!!!! I searched for the story online and found this happy account in the Connecticut Post. A seemingly stray female cat befriended Parsley. The human who recognized Parsley from his "missing" posters contacted Parsley's person, and together they, and the female cat, reunited Parsley and his person. You've just got to read this! I have happy chills & tears. :-))))
