Meet Red from the LA Riverbed!

Poor Red was trapped in an LA riverbed for a week, until he was rescued by LAAS and the fire department.
In the past three years, this a very sweet 8 year old boxer/staffie mix had been caught by local shelter staff and returned six times to his owner, even when it was noted he had been abused and neglected. Despite his continual hardships, he holds no grudges and is wonderful and loving with adults and children alike. He's undergoing behavioral training to improve his socialization with other dogs, but for the most part he gets along with them. Not so good with cats, though.
Be warned, Red is a cuddler and you have to be prepared for unsolicited hugs at any time!
