Hy is always laughing or sitting handsomely with a very large grin!
Hy the hyena (so named for his hyena-like bark), was found wandering a park in Bakersfield, CA with a broken and fused jaw. His rescuers brought him to LA where dental vet Dr. Sugawa of California Animal Hospital performed surgery to allow Hy to actually open his mouth and breathe and eat like a normal dog.
Hy is probably around 1-2 years old, very strong, about 60 lbs., and loves people to the max. He's undergoing socialization training as he gets very excited (but not aggressive) around other dogs. Not sure how he is with cats yet.
Hy is being boarded at Pacific Coast Dog Rescue in Burbank, where he's one of the most popular dogs there. Hy's date requirements should be an equally strong handler, and also a bit of basic training with verbal commands will go along way toward making his date with you a ton of fun. And his idea for a perfect date is a long, long run, as he can go for miles!
