Best Friends LA "Date-With-A-Dog"
If you can't adopt or foster, how about a date?
September 21, 2007 : 10:33 AM
Best Friends Los Angeles Programs adopts and rescues dogs from city and county shelters, as well as off the streets. We usually have 15-20 dogs in various boarding kennels around Los Angeles, while we work diligently to place them in loving, forever homes via Internet networking and our weekly mobile adoptions in West Hollywood.
All of our dogs love people, most are dog friendly, and each one of them would greatly benefit from more socialization and human interaction.
Date-With-A-Dog is a volunteer opportunity that allows people to spend time with our dogs on a weekly basis; which includes anything from walking them for an hour, to keeping them overnight for a sleep-over, to transporting and handling them at our mobile adoptions, to even fostering for as long as you'd like. Just like people dating, you can fall in love and be together as much as you want!
We also offer sponsorship for individual dogs, which helps us tremendously with our boarding costs. Please ask for details!
We will also provide free hands-on training before matching people with individual dogs.
If you're interested, please contact Billy Criswell at william@bestfriends.org. We quarantee unconditional love on each and every date!
BTW, Potter just got adopted through the DWAD Program. It was love at first sight!
