PANAJACHEL–Alicia is an 80-year-old native of Guatemala who worked for over fifty years as a nurse in the Los Angeles, California area. Several years ago, she retired and returned to Panajachel for her golden years.
After a month long grievance from the misfortunate disappearance of her beloved “Lucky”, a cocker spaniel, her animal companion for more than two years, Alicia decided it was time to give another lucky dog a chance.
After a brief interview to determine the perfect companion, Alicia was introduced to “Peter” and it was literally “love at first sight”!
They are now seen every day by neighbors side-by-side in their garden watching and relaxing together as best friends. Seeing them together one can only think of the words to a well-known song — “and they called it puppy love.”
