On Saturday, September 15, a public forum will be held to discuss the next steps for the State's feral pig-hunting program. This is an opportunity to voice and explain your objections to pig hunting and Hawaii's continued sanctioning of a practice, which Hawaii considers to be both a "sport" and a cheap way of controlling the feral-pig population that is truly nothing more than animal cruelty.
On Saturday, the state Department of Land and Natural Resources and elected officials from the area will give an update on the pig-hunting program and offer alternatives now that the wild boar population seems better controlled.More background on the public forum can be read here:

It’s time for those who love animals to speak at this forum on behalf of the pigs that will die horribly in the hunts, on behalf of the pets that are killed by lose hunting dogs, on behalf of the hunting dogs that suffer painfully from injury during the hunts, on behalf of the dogs abandoned that fail to hunt, and on behalf of the hunting dogs that endure abusive and tortured lives when they are not being forced to hunt the pigs.
Please attend, if you can!
