Get Involved in the Coalition - - Low Cost Spay and Neuter
March 17, 2008 : 5:01 PM
Treasure Valley animal rescue groups and shelters are joining forces to collaborate as a Coalition and save more animals’ lives.
The first project is a low-cost spay and neuter clinic targeted to the underserved in the greater Treasure Valley taking place at the Idaho Humane Society Tuesday through Sunday evenings after 6:00pm.
Volunteers are needed. The coalition is in need of vets, techs, and office/clinic assistants to assist with:
1. Low-cost feline sterilization for low-income households
2. Feral whole-colony sterilization and subsequent return to caretakers
3. Pit bull sterilization on a low-cost or no-cost basis (one day per month)
In addition to use of the IHS vet hospital, the coalition will also have use of an IHS bus, which will allow the transport of domestic and feral felines and canines in outlaying areas to and from the IHS shelter for sterilization.
The members of the coalition invite you to be part of the team. This is a great opportunity to get involved and reduce the euthanasia of healthy animals in the Treasure Valley.
