$7000 Reward For Information In Dog Abuse Case In Canyon County

May 12, 2008 : 6:57 PM
An absolutely horrific case of animal torture has occurred in Canyon County and the Idaho Humane Society, along with donations from the public totaling more than $7,000, has offered a reward for information leading to the identification and conviction of the culprit.

Thursday, May 8th, the Canyon County Sheriff’s Department found a dog at a farm near Greenleaf that had been bound with duct tape and appeared to have been severely beaten. The dog, believed to be a German shepherd mix, was approximately nine months to one year old. The location is near the intersection of Vanslyke and Middle roads. Tragically, the dog was euthanized due to the injuries it suffered.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to call the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office at 454-7531 or the Idaho Humane Society at 1-866-430-9432.

I live in this area, and It frightens me knowing there are people around me doing these types of things.
