The Humane Society of the United States is hosting a free Lobbying for Animals seminar in Twin Falls on Friday, October 17, and Boise on Saturday, October 18, where participants will learn how to make a tremendous difference for animals in Idaho.
The Idaho state legislature will begin the 2009 session in January and will be considering legislation that would significantly impact animals, such as bills to strengthen penalties for cockfighting and to increase the current cruelty laws to a felony. We want you to know the most effective ways to get involved and communicate your message.
We will show you basic "lobby" techniques for citizen activists and provide information regarding some of the bills and issues being considered this year. Please take time to attend the meeting in Twin Falls or Boise to find out what you can do to help our cause at the local level. Please feel free to share this message with others who might like to join us.
Hope to see you at an upcoming event!
Sincerely,
Lisa Kauffman
Idaho State Director
