Mark your calendars for Friday, June 20.
Attention Best Friends Members and Fans...Michael Mountain, Best Friends President and Founder, and
Paul Berry, Best Friends CEO, are coming to Chicago on Friday, June 20 to the Hotel Allegro to participate in two special meetings.
According to Cynthia Bathurst, the Principal Director of
Safe Humane Chicago, “The first meeting [at 3:00 PM] is for animal advocates and welfare groups who are interested in learning more about Safe Humane Chicago and Best Friends and to share the important work they are doing. The second meeting [at 7:00 PM] is for Best Friends members to learn face-to-face what Best Friends is doing, to share ideas and questions, and to welcome local groups into our family.”
The focus of this new partnership is to put an end to animal cruelty and dog fighting, as well as to promote kindness and compassion to animals in high-risk neighborhoods. Representatives from animal welfare and rescue groups attending are encouraged to bring their organization’s literature and to discuss what they are doing on behalf of animals locally. Topics for the evening will include the latest news at the sanctuary, video of the animals, and their partnership with Safe Humane Chicago.
Anyone interested in learning more about Best Friends and the ground-breaking work they are doing locally with Safe Humane Chicago should attend. Do not miss this unique opportunity to talk with Best Friends' leaders as well as the chance to network with other animal welfare advocates in the area!
If you plan to attend, please contact Aileen Walden by email at
