County issues recommendations for keeping your animals safe
Huge Chemical Explosion North of Wichita Forces Evacuation of People and PetsA devastating explosion and fire at Bartons Solvents Plant in Valley Center last week created havoc in the area immediately affected by and surrounding the plant.
People and their pets were forced to evacuate to escape toxic smoke and fumes, and found refuge in the Kansas Coliseum, where pets
are allowed.
Officials from Sedgwick County have issued guidelines and recommendations for pet owners, outlining what steps people should take to keep their pets healthy and safe.
Also included is information about kennels and temporary housing for displaced animals.
