Frenchtown Valley 4-H members have been very busy these last 3 months with a variety of Community Service Projects.
For some kids, summer means laying around the house playing video games, going for a dip in the neighborhood pool, or hanging out with friends at the mall.
Not so the 4-H group at Frenchtown Valley. Summer means getting their projects ready for the county fair: working horses, training dogs, walking lambs, shearing sheep, working pigs, feeding chickens, trimming steers, keeping detailed livestock records, sewing fair projects, cooking & canning for culinary projects, making leather goods, among other projects. These kids are busy.
They still had time for a variety of community service projects including a car wash that raised money to purchase pet food for local animal shelters. For a complete list of their summer projects, visit
