Prayer Walk at Your Local Animal Shelter!

April 21, 2008 : 4:53 PM
NC Week for the Animals May 3-11, 2008

By Michele King, Best Friends Network

Do you want to see improvements at your local animal control shelter? Go straight to the top when asking for help. PRAY!

Every day is a disaster in North Carolina, as thousands of dogs and cats lose their lives at our local animal shelters. Many are lost and may not be reunited with their families in time, while others are simply thrown away. Most will not have a second chance.

We can do something about this vast waste of life. Volunteer your time to help your shelter with creative ways to increase adoptions. Help educate residents about the importance of controlling overpopulation and keeping their pets safe at home. Print flyers or run a website for the shelter. A little effort can save precious lives.

Even if you don’t have the time to volunteer, we all have time to pray. A Prayer Walk is just that…walk around the shelter and pray for the needs of the animals. I believe we will get an answer.

North Carolina shelters need more than a just helping hand. They need a miracle.

Can I get an “Amen”?

Thank you SO much for posted this!! GOD's work is done through all who seek HIM and HIS guidance. Personally, when I volunteer at the our local shelter, I go around and place my hand on each of animals and pray for GODs protection on their life, to soften the hearts of those who are working at the shelter to the necessary changes that need be made, and for GOD to lead us to find good loving homes for our precious companions. I know that GOD has called me to do this work and there is no place I would rather be than in GOD'S will for my life. May GOD bless all of you who are called to service for HIS creatures.
AMEN Michele!!
