Mighty Texas Dog Walk Broke Texas and US Records

June 10, 2008 : 9:42 PM
Texas Hearing and Service Dogs’ largest fundraiser of the year was a success.

By Sheri Soltes, Founder & President of Texas Hearing and Service Dogs

The results are in:
• 5,103 dogs crossed the finish line
• 10,000 people participated
• $110,000 raised for our training program

We're already planning next year's walk. It will be in early March and we will resume running our own water stops, which will now be greater in number and include ice, more vet stations and additional wading pools.

Thank you to all of our walkers, sponsors and volunteers who participated.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:

• Even if you were not able to attend the walk yourself, you can still assist the Texas Hearing and Service Dog organization through financially contributing, donating wish list items, or volunteering.
