Purrs and tail wags from the cats and dogs of Central Texas.
By Sharri Boyett, Executive Director of Pet Prevent a Litter of Central Texas Happy Anniversary! The five year anniversary of the reorganization of
Pet Prevent A Litter (PALS) of Central Texas falls on June 13, 2008, and our successes have been great. Established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit in 1990 and reorganized in 2003, PALS has issued over 2,000 spay/neuters vouchers for local pets.
Thanks to
you, the PALS organization has grown significantly:
• In 2003 PALS issued 109 vouchers
• In 2004 PALS issued 248 vouchers
• In 2005 PALS issued 416 vouchers
• In 2006 PALS issued 584 vouchers
• In 2007 PALS issued 1,053 vouchers
• As of mid-April 2008 PALS has issued 497 vouchers
Together we really do make a difference! I look forward to the next five years as we em
bark upon the planning for the PET FEST 5K Race & Pledge Walk.

•
Volunteers are needed to help with fundraising, special events (like Pet Fest), public relations, writing thank you notes and more. Even one or two hours a week could significantly help the organization.
