Foster homes desperately needed for the many litters coming in daily.
According to Kerrie Ragsdale, a volunteer for
Friends of Montgomery County Texas Animal Shelter, they are receiving in around
100 kittens every day at the shelter. The facility itself is unable to accommodate so many animals, so they are asking the public for assistance.
They are in need for adoptive homes for the many shelter cats and kittens. If you are not interested in adding a permanent resident to your home, you can foster kittens until they are old enough to be adopted. All medical and vaccination costs are paid for by the Friends of Montgomery County Texas Animal Shelter and they will even provide a free bag of food for you to begin your fostering experience.
HOW YOU CAN HELP:
•
Adopt one of their many wonderful animals. To search find one that you like, go to
Petharbor, type in zip code 77385, check Montgomery County Animal Service Center: Conroe, Texas, and click search now. That will give you the option of viewing the animals who are available for adoption.
•
Foster one or more kittens for a week, a month, or longer. A shelter environment is no place for such little ones and a home provides the love, individualized care, and socialization necessary for the kittens to mature to the point where they can be adopted.
• If you do not live in Montgomery County, please consider fostering for a local shelter or rescue. It is a rewarding experience and helps to save lives.
